"Steal From Artists" 5 week art making course.
Wednesday evenings, 6-8pm. Over 5 weeks with an optional 6th.
Exploring the Foundations of Art: Line, Shape, Colour, and Composition with the artists: TRACEY EMIN / YAYOI KASUMA / NORMAN GILBERT / JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIET
Join me for an art experience inspired by the words of Pablo Picasso: "Bad artists copy. Great artists steal." In this series of classes, we will delve into the world of art to cultivate your creativity and develop your own distinctive style by drawing inspiration from renowned artists.
Throughout the program, we'll explore various art principles and the masterful techniques of influential artists. Together, we'll embark on a journey of exploration, learning, and artistic experimentation, with each session building upon the last to deepen your understanding and skills.
Our sessions will commence with engaging mini-lectures and demonstrations, setting the stage for hands-on exploration. You'll be tasked with creating sketches inspired by the day's theme, laying the groundwork for your final artwork.
This isn't your typical outcome-focused workshop; it's a journey of learning and artistic exploration. Each session is designed to ignite your imagination and hone your skills, prioritizing the process of making art over predefined outcomes.
As a special feature, we're offering an optional framing class where you can elevate your creations to the next level. Working with Logs Framing, you will paint frames for 2 of your artworks, adding a personal touch that truly sets your pieces apart. The cost of this class is £75
