Step into the world of Carol Rhodes – a celebrated Glasgow artist known for her captivating, aerial perspectives and unique approach to landscapes that blend natural and industrial forms.
Explore aerial landscapes in this immersive 2-hour art workshop inspired by Carol Rhodes. Using oil pastels, and Liquin, and brushes, you’ll explore a unique mixed-media technique to capture the essence of your home from a bird’s-eye view. Working with 3D Google Maps, you’ll reference and recreate an abstracted aerial portrait on a gessoed wooden panel. You’ll learn techniques to blend oil pastels into paint-like textures and experiment with Rhodes-inspired compositional elements. This workshop is perfect for art lovers and beginners alike who want to capture their world from an entirely new perspective!
